Prof. (Dr.) Murari Lal was a Convening Lead Author for Chapter 10 (Asia) of IPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report of WG II which was released in May 2007. IPCC was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 for the Report. Prof. Murari Lal is currently the Technical Head of (Climate Change) at RMSI Pvt Ltd., Noida. Prior to joining RMSI, he was director of the Pacific Centre for Environment & Sustainable Development at the University of the South Pacific where he has spent 2 years (2009-2011). Prof. Lal has served at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in various capacities for over 20 years. Prof. Lal was a Visiting Professor at the Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development at the University of the South Pacific Prof. Lal is the only scientist from India to have served the select group of the IPCC Family of over 3000 scientists from across the world continuously for two decades and having contributed to the scientific assessment of climate change since it was set up jointly by the World Meteor ological Organization and United Nations Environment Programme in 1988. He was a contributing Author to the Supplementary Report of the First Assessment Report of the IPCC “Climate Change – 1991”. Subsequently, he was Lead Author of 1994 Interim Report of the IPCC on “Radiative Forcing of Climate Change” and in 1995 Second IPCC Assessment Report (Climate Change – 1995 WG-I Report). He also authored IPCC’s Technical Paper II entitled ‘An Introduction to Climate System Models Used by IPCC for the Projections of Future Climate’ prepared for Policy Makers. Dr. Lal, a renowned international climatologist on Indian monsoon, was Convening Lead Author for Tropical Asia Chapter in IPCC’s Special Report on Regional Impacts of Climate Change (1998), Lead Author in “Climate Scenario Development (WG I – Science)” Chapter and Convening Lead Author for Asia Chapter (WG II – Asia) in IPCC’s 2001 Third Scientific Assessment Report. He was also a member in Core Writing Team of the Synthesis Report of the IPCC Third Assessm ent Report – 2001. Prof. Lal has been a Member of the Task Group on ‘Climate Scenarios for Impact Assessment’ (TGCIA) during the period from 1997 to 2003 which was set up by IPCC Secretariat, Geneva and has co-authored two Guidance Manuals for the scientific community engaged in regional and national assessment of climate vulnerability. His research interests are focused on consolidation and intensification of the climate change prediction and assessing the consequences of future changes to address the issues of risks and vulnerability, adaptation and mitigation on regional/national scale in general (through enhancement of our capability to understand, anticipate and manage the ecological and societal impacts of climate change and its variability) and in reducing the socio-economic impacts of climate variability in Developing Countries of South and Central Asia, Central and South Africa, and in Island Countries. He has a thorough understanding of guidelines, rules and procedures under UNCCC Biodiversity, De sertification, Montreal Protocol, Kyoto Protocol and other Multi-lateral Environmental Agreements.Prof. Lal, an elected fellow of National Academy of Agricultural sciences, Indian Association of Hydrologist in India and a Life Member of Indian Meteorological Society, has provided consultancy services to Multinational Groups, Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations as well as UN agencies on all matters relating to sector specific impacts of regional and local climate variability and climate change, integrated systems analysis of population and urbanization linkages, food & water security and sustainable use of natural resources in attaining climate resilience.

Dr. K.K Garg is an M.Sc, M.Phil & Ph.D in Environment Science from JND, Delhi in 1984,joined Ministry of Environment & Forests, Delhi in 1984 and retired on superannuation, as advisor ,in 2016.
It involved, apart from on site assessment of functioning of systems and physical progress of site oriented conditions, the examination of EIA/EMP reports, air & water analysis results. audit reports, R&R plan and CSR plan etc.
Conducted Environment Appraisal Committee meetings in the Ministry as member secretary for industrial projects.

Represented Ministry as chairman /member in number of committees as per direction of Ministry/honourable courts and prepared the status reports.

Ms. Meenakshi Davar was a full-time Director in Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power. In 2017 she was appointed as Director (HR) till her superannuation in December 2020. Prior to that, she was Executive Director (Human Resource) with POWERGRID. She had spent last 37 years in the HR function, first 9 years in NTPC and then in POWERGRID. She has handled all areas of HR including Appraisals and Promotions, Training, Establishment, Policy, Industrial Relations, Manpower Planning and Administration.
An MBA from University of Hull, UK and a Post Graduate from University of Delhi, she is also a Diploma holder in Industrial Psychology and a certified trainer of soft skills.
She is the recipient of Amity’s Women Achiever Award 2016 in the area of HR. In 2017 she received the ‘Women Persona – InWENA of the Decade ‘– Public Sector Enterprises Award for contribution to the Power Sector in particular and Public Sector at large across functions like Human Resource, Corporate Social Responsibility, Technical Planning, Resourcing, etc.
She has received immense appreciation for contribution in her field. The felicitations and awards that she received, speak volumes about her involvement and commitment.
In February 2018, the Forum of Women in Public Sector felicitated her with ‘The Achiever Award’ for leading by example and creating a lasting impact in the organizations she has worked for. In his 27 years of career, Dr. Siddiqui has worked in different organizations like the Institute of Environment & Management, Lucknow as an Assistant Professor, Paryacon Engineers as an Environmental Engineer, and the Environmental Engineering Division of Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute as a Scientist.
Dr. Siddiqui did some pioneering work in the area of odor monitoring and providing control
technology along with a Finland Scientist. He has worked as Founder Head - Health, Safety & Environment, and Civil Engineering for 16 years at the University of Petroleum Energy Studies,
Dehradun.
