Prof. (Dr.) Murari Lal was a Convening Lead Author for Chapter 10 (Asia) of IPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report of WG II which was released in May 2007. IPCC was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 for the Report. Prof. Murari Lal is currently the Technical Head of (Climate Change) at RMSI Pvt Ltd., Noida. Prior to joining RMSI, he was director of the Pacific Centre for Environment & Sustainable Development at the University of the South Pacific where he has spent 2 years (2009-2011). Prof. Lal has served at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in various capacities for over 20 years. Prof. Lal was a Visiting Professor at the Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development at the University of the South Pacific Prof. Lal is the only scientist from India to have served the select group of the IPCC Family of over 3000 scientists from across the world continuously for two decades and having contributed to the scientific assessment of climate change since it was set up jointly by the World Meteor ological Organization and United Nations Environment Programme in 1988. He was a contributing Author to the Supplementary Report of the First Assessment Report of the IPCC “Climate Change – 1991”. Subsequently, he was Lead Author of 1994 Interim Report of the IPCC on “Radiative Forcing of Climate Change” and in 1995 Second IPCC Assessment Report (Climate Change – 1995 WG-I Report). He also authored IPCC’s Technical Paper II entitled ‘An Introduction to Climate System Models Used by IPCC for the Projections of Future Climate’ prepared for Policy Makers. Dr. Lal, a renowned international climatologist on Indian monsoon, was Convening Lead Author for Tropical Asia Chapter in IPCC’s Special Report on Regional Impacts of Climate Change (1998), Lead Author in “Climate Scenario Development (WG I – Science)” Chapter and Convening Lead Author for Asia Chapter (WG II – Asia) in IPCC’s 2001 Third Scientific Assessment Report. He was also a member in Core Writing Team of the Synthesis Report of the IPCC Third Assessm ent Report – 2001. Prof. Lal has been a Member of the Task Group on ‘Climate Scenarios for Impact Assessment’ (TGCIA) during the period from 1997 to 2003 which was set up by IPCC Secretariat, Geneva and has co-authored two Guidance Manuals for the scientific community engaged in regional and national assessment of climate vulnerability. His research interests are focused on consolidation and intensification of the climate change prediction and assessing the consequences of future changes to address the issues of risks and vulnerability, adaptation and mitigation on regional/national scale in general (through enhancement of our capability to understand, anticipate and manage the ecological and societal impacts of climate change and its variability) and in reducing the socio-economic impacts of climate variability in Developing Countries of South and Central Asia, Central and South Africa, and in Island Countries. He has a thorough understanding of guidelines, rules and procedures under UNCCC Biodiversity, De sertification, Montreal Protocol, Kyoto Protocol and other Multi-lateral Environmental Agreements.Prof. Lal, an elected fellow of National Academy of Agricultural sciences, Indian Association of Hydrologist in India and a Life Member of Indian Meteorological Society, has provided consultancy services to Multinational Groups, Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations as well as UN agencies on all matters relating to sector specific impacts of regional and local climate variability and climate change, integrated systems analysis of population and urbanization linkages, food & water security and sustainable use of natural resources in attaining climate resilience.

He has worked in Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Govt. of India for 32 years. Nearly for 28 years, site inspections of more than 1000 developmental projects, at least once, of almost all the sectors listed in EIA notification,2006 were done to monitor the compliance status of environment conditions stipulated by MoEF&CC.
Dr. K.K Garg is an M.Sc, M.Phil & Ph.D in Environment Science from JND, Delhi in 1984,joined Ministry of Environment & Forests, Delhi in 1984 and retired on superannuation, as advisor ,in 2016.
It involved, apart from on site assessment of functioning of systems and physical progress of site oriented conditions, the examination of EIA/EMP reports, air & water analysis results. audit reports, R&R plan and CSR plan etc.
Conducted Environment Appraisal Committee meetings in the Ministry as member secretary for industrial projects.
Processing of industrial projects for environment clearance and TOR as director IA division in the Ministry and issuance of Environment Clearance/TOR letters
Represented Ministry as chairman /member in number of committees as per direction of Ministry/honourable courts and prepared the status reports.

Dr. Jain is an accomplished environment professional with an M.Sc and Ph.D in Chemistry from University of Delhi. He served NTPC, the premier utility of the country for over 35 years in the field of Environmental Protection and Pollution Monitoring. Dr Jain has retired from NTPC as General Manager - Corporate Environment Management with a demonstrated history of working in all the domains of Environment including Environmental Regulatory Developments and preparedness. He is skilled in Environment Management and Pollution Monitoring, Energy, Environmental Compliances, Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Regulatory Developments, National Green Tribunals (NGT) issues and preparedness, transparency in Pollution Real-time Monitoring, Environmental Laws (existing and likely futuristic), Environmental Impact Assessments, strategy for Air Pollution Control and Water Pollution Management, Ash Management and Utilisation etc. Dr. Jain is actively involved in Environmental Protection and Pollution Monitoring Policy issues and research in close association with Regulatory Agencies such CPCB, MoEF & CC, SPCBs, various committees of BIS etc along with various research institutes such as IITs, NEERI, CMFRI etc.

Ms. Meenakshi Davar was a full-time Director in Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power. In 2017 she was appointed as Director (HR) till her superannuation in December 2020. Prior to that, she was Executive Director (Human Resource) with POWERGRID. She had spent last 37 years in the HR function, first 9 years in NTPC and then in POWERGRID. She has handled all areas of HR including Appraisals and Promotions, Training, Establishment, Policy, Industrial Relations, Manpower Planning and Administration.
An MBA from University of Hull, UK and a Post Graduate from University of Delhi, she is also a Diploma holder in Industrial Psychology and a certified trainer of soft skills.
She is the recipient of Amity’s Women Achiever Award 2016 in the area of HR. In 2017 she received the ‘Women Persona – InWENA of the Decade ‘– Public Sector Enterprises Award for contribution to the Power Sector in particular and Public Sector at large across functions like Human Resource, Corporate Social Responsibility, Technical Planning, Resourcing, etc.
She has received immense appreciation for contribution in her field. The felicitations and awards that she received, speak volumes about her involvement and commitment.
In February 2018, the Forum of Women in Public Sector felicitated her with ‘The Achiever Award’ for leading by example and creating a lasting impact in the organizations she has worked for. In March 2018, she was honoured for her exemplary Leadership skills and conferred with the Amity Leadership Award. Fame India Magazine in their 2018 issue had rated her as one of the 25 Shaktishali Women in the Country. In August 2018, she was conferred with the ‘Seasoned HR Professional Award’ by National HRD Network at its 21st National Conference for her significant contribution in the field of HR. In September 2018, she was awarded with “Women Super Achievers Award for Excellence in HR” at 17th Asia Pacific HRM Congress Awards 2018 by CMO Asia. In December 2018, she was awarded with the ASSOCHAM’s ‘Women in Energy Sector- Excellence in HR’ award for her immense contribution in Power Sector at their conference on ‘The Energy Agenda 2030 - Innovation Development & Energy Excellence’.

Dr. Siddiqui specializes in the area of Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Pollution, Environmental Monitoring and Control techniques. In his 27 years of career, Dr. Siddiqui has worked in different organizations like the Institute of Environment & Management, Lucknow as an Assistant Professor, Paryacon Engineers as an Environmental Engineer, and the Environmental Engineering Division of Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute as a Scientist.
Dr. Siddiqui did some pioneering work in the area of odor monitoring and providing control
technology along with a Finland Scientist. He has worked as Founder Head - Health, Safety & Environment, and Civil Engineering for 16 years at the University of Petroleum Energy Studies,
Dehradun. He was involved in a number of consultancy projects, R & D projects, organizing Management Development Programs, International Seminars & workshops, and training programs for various industries during his stint with UPES. Dr. Siddiqui was also associated with the Health, Safety & Environment dept of ICEM College, Muscat, Oman which is affiliated with the University of Central Lancashire, UK. He is an approved faculty to teach international certificate courses like IOSH, NEBOSH.

As GM – CSR, Sasan Power, he was responsible for end-to-end CSR activities, providing encumbrance free site for the project, developing R&R Colony and establishing School, Health Centre and other basic amenities. At Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation, he was responsible for overall management and coordination of the project. With Dabur Nepal Agricultural Centre, he was involved in promotion of beekeeping and technical support to the beekeepers; overall management of production of honey, queen-bees, wax foundation sheet as well as procurement of raw honey and networking with institutions engaged in beekeeping development. His skills include stakeholder engagement, project management, team management etc. Corporate Social Responsibility, today is a catalyst to any organization. All corporates have their own CSR Policy – Mission and Vision to achieve this but his firm conviction has always been to strengthen the 3 core fronts – Health, Education and Livelihood initiatives.
